Kingskerswell manor house

November 30, 2013

I have recently been involved with repair works to a 13th century scheduled ancient monument; the Kingskerswell Manor House. This ruined medieval manor situated near the local church was in sore need of repair and the local charitable who administrates it had become concerned over the weather damage occurring. The wall tops, exposed to the elements, were eroding and progressive photographs taken by the Trust demonstrated the weathering processes and resultant defects. I applied for class consent and English Heritage grant funding to allow essential remedial work to be undertaken. The work included temporary capping, weed suppression, and re-pointing, and was recently completed to the satisfaction of English Heritage and the clients.
